Advanced Flight Systems (AFS) Releases AF-Pilot Autopilot Control Software for AF-5000 Series EFIS Units. Rob Hickman, president of AFS, shot some video of the software in action on the way home from Idaho a few days ago.

“We have just released the software for the AF-5000 series to fully control the AF-Pilot autopilot. The EFIS will now display the current AP status and need for trim. The EFIS also gives you the ability to not only turn on the Autopilot but also turn it off, all from the EFIS. The new geo-referenced IFR charts and Flight Guide airport diagrams are awesome; I can’t imagine not having them.”
